Having the reception in an outside location added to the natural beauty of the event with little need to bring in a lot of decor - keeping costs down and impact on the environment low. The evening backyard soiree for 230 guests was simply charming and tons of fun - just like the couple themselves!

Single location - guests only had to walk from ceremony to reception

A perfect cottage wedding set in the natural beauty of a California State Park, the couple were married by a close friend in the heart of a eucalyptus grove. The natural setting had its own built in ambiance and called for very little decoration. The morning wedding and brunch for close family and friends was a unique and very personal way the couple celebrated their union with their closest community.

The intimate and elegant evening event served plenty of hors ’dourves and light fare for 50 guests. A short outdoor ceremony was conducted by a family friend and incorporated the very special touch of their beloved dog as ring bearer. On this hot summer day guests were treated to a family favorite, homemade German beer, made by the groom himself!
Victoria & Max’s Wedding

Donations registry - gifts in the couples name to their favorite charity
Shuttle service - reduced parking needs, and reduced car emissions
Décor elements reused - candles, vases, and lights donated by friends
Local flowers - green brought from the gardens of friends and family
Supporting community and being supported by community was a theme weaved through every part of this couple’s weekend beach wedding. From the gifts registry option of donating to the couple’s favorite charity, to supporting local community nonprofits in the choice of venue and guest quarters, they integrated that intention at every step. Family and friends brought much of the food for the weekend and provided music and entertainment for the 140 person event. As an added special touch, the couple wanted to bring parts of both families together, forever, and melting old family jewelry into personalized wedding rings giving them new a meaning and a new life!
